Growing up I have been exposed to many contrasts and this helped me expand my mind and understand that the world is so much bigger than the world that I know. It made me curious and more understanding of other people’s ways of life.
My background
I am a twin, I have a twin. This means that since the very beginning I had a companion of life. It also means that even though we lived everything together and received the exact same love, care etc, we physically were two different people with sometimes different ways of seeing life and different ways of experimenting the exact same situation.
That is what made me realize that we can always learn from each other even though we think we are similar and even more so when we are different.
My motivations
I do believe that we all have a purpose in this life. It is up to each of us to both listen carefully to ourselves and pay attention to the world around us in order to find what is our own purpose.
Throughout the years I have noticed that deep conversations and honest communication was something that I liked doing, something that I needed to experience in my close relationships - and actually in any relationship in general.
I have also come to realize that not so many people do it on the regular. I would often have people confide in me matters that they have never dared to explore or talk about with their close circles. It made me realize that in the end we all want the same things, one of them being : being listened to with compassion and without judgment.
Another point is that I love spending time by myself. Through that I realized that I became more and more self aware because I was taking the time needed to do some introspection and understanding myself. It is something that is beneficial. With this day and age lives where everything is fast-paced I am offering people who want to participate in this project to take the time to reflect on certain themes. Hoping that this would help them in any way.
